Book List Instructions

How to Order

• To order your book, use the Book Request Form.

• If you don’t receive the book within 10 days, notify Nicole at nicole@wearefss.org

What to Do

• After you have read the book, answer the questions below and email your essay and summary to:

  Your Advocate
  Nicole: nicolewetmore8@gmail.com
  Doug: doug@meridiancp.net

• Schedule a phone call or meeting with your Advocate to discuss your book.

• Your advocate will request your check of $125/book.

• After your advocate has notified you of the check request, you should receive payment within 14 days, if not, notify Nicole by email.

Essay Questions

1. Why do you think this book was put on the reading list?

2. What are the major themes?

3. How is this book applicable to your life?

4. What are your biggest takeaways?

5. Did you enjoy the book?

6. Would you recommend it to a friend? Why?

7. Rating on a scale of 1-10 (10 being the best).

Summary

• Provide at least 25 bullet points (quotes, ideas, etc.) on your takeaways from the book.

• The goal is not to summarize or tell the story of the book, rather to identify those key points or action items you may want to incorporate in your life.

• The goal is to easily review your notes in the future and get at least 65% of the value of the book in only a few minutes.
